of the pattern in the magazine. At first I thought this size would be too tall, but I am pleased with it. a) stay-stitch all seam lines of cut pattern pieces; or b) mark the pattern on the fabric, embellish, and then cut out and assemble. However, the wool that I have is very dark, and since the white fabric was translucent enough for the dark wool to show through, I stuffed it temporarily with polyester batting. Polyester batting (which is suggested in the pattern) is not good for pins and needles--it wicks moisture and will cause rust. I intend to remove the bottom piece and resew it to remove some gathers, and at that time I plan to replace the polyester batting with light colored wool. | |||
