| STEP 3. After finishing the stab stitching through the lower portion of the center of the rose (as shown in Step 2. previously, fold the ribbon down at a 45 degree angle away from you, and roll the center of the rose toward the left so that the ribbon rolls around about half of the center of the rose. Then take a stab stitch through the bottom. You will notice at the bottom right of the ribbon, just underneath the needle, that there is a small gap in the ribbon. I find that leaving these little gaps as I roll and stitch the ribbon, gives the center of the rose a slight fullness as a slight gather is created when making the stab stitch. | |
